A child's education is one of the most important things they will ever accomplish. It can be hard to watch them throw an education away. One of the best benefits of home schooling is that you get to choose the curriculum. Unlike most public or private school teachers, you can design your child's learning experience around the things they enjoy. You can help to promote lifelong learning skills by simply showing them how the various subjects relate to their levels of interests. You decide what to teach and when to teach it because you know your child better than anyone else ever could. Another great benefit of home schooling is that the learning experience will never stop for your children. You don't just have to be your child's teacher. You can continue to work through a concept throughout the day, month, or year. You have the power to guide your child's knowledge, to help them question and learn the things they need to know. They no longer just have to apply the concepts to a classroom environment, you can take those concepts outside the classroom and apply them to the world they will eventually live in. One final benefit of homeschooling your children is that you get the opportunity to consistently model the behavior you want them to apply to their lives. They no longer have to see the behavior of others and try to decide which way you might want them to go. They can see how you live your life each day and try to apply those principles to their own lives.
